What you need to know: The Hemet DMV office will close temporarily for renovations on March 27 at 5 p.m. However, most customers do not have to visit an office and can do their DMV business online at dmv.ca.gov.

Sacramento — The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today announced that the Hemet office at 1200 S. State St. will close temporarily for interior flooring replacement beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27. The office is scheduled to reopen at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20.

Until the renovations are complete, customers can visit the following area offices:

  • Temecula: 27851 Diaz Road (28 miles from the Hemet office)
  • Riverside East: 6425 Sycamore Canyon Blvd. (30 miles from the Hemet office)
  • Redlands: 1659 W. Lugonia Ave. (34 miles from the Hemet office)
