| # GDOT District 3 was awarded six projects in March 2026
The first investment will be a concrete rehabilitation project in Bibb County. It will consist of concrete rehabilitation of 6.25 miles on I-75 beginning at Tobeskefkee Creek and extending south of the bridge on Oglethorpe Street. The concrete rehabilitation project is estimated to cost approximately $7 million. The contract was awarded to BRTU Construction, Inc.

The second investment is located in Meriwether County. This project consists of 9 miles of resurfacing of SR 109 Spur beginning northeast of SR 18 and extending to SR 74. This will include plant remixing and shoulder rehabilitation. The project will cost approximately $3.6 million and was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co, Inc.

The next investment will be in Butts and Monroe Counties. This project consists of 17.15 miles of resurfacing on State Route 42, beginning west of the SR 83 and extending south at SR 87. The cost will be $5.9 million, and the project was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co, Inc.

The last investments of this month are in Troup County. One includes 2.99 miles of concrete rehabilitation on I-85, beginning north of SR 219 and extending to Upper Springs Road. The cost is approximately for $2.8 million. The contract was awarded to Express Concrete and Traffic Control, Inc. The next is another resurfacing project in Troup Co for 12.53 miles, including plant remix and shoulder rehab. It will be at US 27/ SR 1 beginning in Harris County line and extending south of Sam Walker Drive / Vulcan Road. The cost will be approximately $2 million, and the award will be made to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co, Inc.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and are not scheduled.
