What changed
The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced lane closures on State Route 9 (Peachtree Road) in Fulton County for Friday night resurfacing work. These closures will affect travel lanes during nighttime hours, with potential delays for motorists in the area. Transportation companies and logistics operators should plan alternate routes or adjust schedules to account for reduced capacity on this major Atlanta corridor.
Affected parties should monitor GA DOT communications for specific closure timing and lane configurations, as resurfacing work may involve alternating lane restrictions. Commuters and freight operators regularly using Peachtree Road should allow additional travel time or consider alternative routes during Friday night work windows.
