What changed
The FAA published a notice of request to release approximately 0.42 acres of airport property at Kelso Municipal Airport, Kelso, Washington. The City of Kelso seeks to waive AIP property requirements and dispose of the land, which has been determined not needed for aeronautical purposes, to facilitate a land swap for equivalent city right-of-way.
Affected parties include the airport operator and local government. This is an administrative procedural action that does not create compliance obligations for regulated industries. The 30-day comment period allows stakeholders to submit feedback on the proposed property release before FAA makes a final determination.
