Monday, March 2, 2026 WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy today announced the availability of approximately $686 million in competitive grant funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to modernize some of the nation's oldest and busiest rail transit stations and ensure they meet the needs of American families.
" Under President Trump’s America First agenda, USDOT is ensuring infrastructure projects prioritize safety, efficiency, and the well-being of American families, " said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy.
