About this source

Find a Tender is the UK government's official portal for public-sector procurement notices above the £30,000 threshold. Every contract opportunity, award, and modification published by central departments, NHS trusts, local councils, universities, and arms-length bodies lands here first. GovPing pulls each new notice as it appears, around 569 in the last 30 days, with the contract value, awarding body, and supplier name parsed out where given. Watch this if you sell to UK government, monitor competitor wins, or track public spending in your sector. Recent examples: a £185k events contract awarded by the British Council, a £120k nano-mechanical stage at the UK National Nuclear Laboratory, £50k of Adobe licences for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

What changed

The contracting authority published a contract award notice for the Vehicle Recovery Scheme for West Mercia Police, covering the recovery, storage, and disposal of vehicles seized under the Police Reform Act 2002, Road Traffic Act 1988, Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005, and Hunting Act 2004. The contract value of £416,868 includes VAT and covers seven geographic lots across the West Mercia region.

Three suppliers were awarded contracts following an open procedure in which nine tenders were received, all from SMEs. The standstill period ends on 7 May 2026, with the earliest contract signing date of 11 May 2026. Suppliers, particularly unsuccessful bidders, should note the procedural timeline if they intend to challenge the award.
