Oman Ratifies Singapore Convention, Effective 10th Sep

Oman acceded to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (Singapore Convention on Mediation) on 10 March 2026. The accession makes Oman the twenty-first State party to the Convention, which will enter into force for Oman on 10 September 2026. Cross-border mediated settlement agreements involving parties in Oman will subsequently be enforceable in other signatory States under the Convention's framework.

Colombia Ratifies Singapore Convention on Mediation, 22nd State Party

Colombia ratified the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, also known as the Singapore Convention on Mediation, on 12 March 2026. Colombia becomes the twenty-second State party to the convention. The Singapore Convention on Mediation will enter into force for Colombia on 12 September 2026, six months after ratification.

Panama Ratifies Beijing Convention on Judicial Sale of Ships

Panama has ratified the United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships, also known as the 'Beijing Convention on the Judicial Sale of Ships'. The ratification was effected on 19 March 2026, with the Convention entering into force for Panama on 15 September 2026. Panama becomes the fourth State party to the Convention, which itself entered into force on 17 February 2026.
