RBWM Housing Management Procurement Notice
Summary
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has published a preliminary market engagement notice for the operational management of a council-owned homeless hostel. This notice seeks supplier input to shape the procurement strategy for managing a facility housing up to 19 individuals.
What changed
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) has issued a preliminary market engagement notice regarding the procurement of services for the day-to-day operational management of a newly refurbished homeless hostel. The council will retain ownership and control over nominations, rent collection, and repairs, while the selected provider will act as the council's agent for operational management, including resident engagement, facility maintenance, and emergency response. The procurement is planned on a 3+1 year basis, with an estimated contract start date of May 1, 2027.
Interested suppliers are invited to participate in a short survey by April 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM, to help shape the procurement strategy. This engagement is crucial for potential bidders to understand the scope of services, including the requirement for a 24-hour staff presence and the management of residents with licence agreements. While this is a market engagement notice and not a formal tender, it signals an upcoming procurement opportunity that SMEs are particularly encouraged to consider.
What to do next
- Respond to the supplier survey by 24/04/2026 12pm to influence procurement strategy.
