Revocation of Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Orders on Chinese Kitchen Appliance Shelving
Summary
The U.S. International Trade Commission determined on March 30, 2026, to revoke the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on kitchen appliance shelving and racks from China following a five-year review. The Commission found that revocation would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic industry. This marks the completion of Investigation 701-TA-458 and 731-TA-1154 (Third Review), effectively removing trade protections for this product category.
What changed
The ITC completed its five-year review of antidumping and countervailing duty orders on Chinese kitchen appliance shelving and racks, determining that revocation of these trade remedies is warranted. The Commission voted to remove the duties based on its finding that their continuation would not prevent material injury recurrence to the domestic industry. This determination concludes Investigation 701-TA-458 and 731-TA-1154 (Third Review), with USITC Publication 5721 documenting the Commission's views.
Importers of Chinese kitchen appliance shelving and racks should prepare for the removal of antidumping and countervailing duties, which will affect cost structures and pricing strategies. Domestic manufacturers competing with Chinese imports may face increased competitive pressure. The revocation takes effect upon publication of this determination, with no new compliance obligations but significant market implications for parties in this trade sector.
What to do next
- Review current pricing and cost structures to account for removal of antidumping/countervailing duties on Chinese kitchen appliance shelving
- Monitor USITC Publication 5721 for detailed Commission views and findings
- Assess competitive impact on domestic kitchen appliance shelving manufacturing operations
