The PQQ forms an evaluation process leading to the selection of a short list of Main Contractors from whom competitive tenders may be sought. It will assess those companies invited to respond to determine their capability and suitability to complete the scheme. The information you provide in response to the questionnaire will be used solely for this exercise and not for any other purpose. No information will be disclosed to any of your competitors or any third party not directly associated with the evaluation process.
If your company wishes to pre-qualify as a bidder, the questionnaire at Appendix A must be completed in full and submitted on time, with additional information provided as appropriate.
Should you have any queries on the questionnaire email them to chris.davey@cornwall.ac.uk. The responses we give to any general queries may be shared with other participants in this process.
This Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is intended to ascertain the Contractor's interest in the Project and establish facts about the actual Company (not the group or parent company) who will be considered to undertake the works. Further information may be provided, but such information should be relevant to your submission and not of a general marketing nature. Answers should be brief and concise but consistent with being a complete response.
The emphasis of this document is to establish your capacity to carry out the work intended in accordance with the proposed programme, your approach to tendering to provide a firm lump sum price (without Provisional Sums).
It is a condition of your completing and returning the information requested in this Questionnaire that it is understood that there is no requirement on the part the Employer to give any explanation for the inclusion or non-inclusion of any firm on the list finally selected to take part in the tender process or indeed to accept any tender that may be subsequently submitted, or any costs incurred.
Please issue an electronic copy of this questionnaire and associated documentation for the attention of Chris Davey on the In-Tend Procurement Portal by 3rd April 2026.
