Innovation Fund AI RAN Listening Session

NTIA will convene a hybrid industry listening session on the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, focusing on advancing AI-native telecommunications networks. The session, scheduled for March 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT, will be held both via Microsoft Teams and in-person at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA. This effort aligns with the Administration's July 2025 AI Action Plan and the Executive Order on Promoting the Export of the American AI Technology Stack with the goal of establishing U.S. leadership in secure AI technologies.

NTIA Innovation Fund AI RAN Listening Session, March 23, 2026

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will convene a hybrid industry listening session on the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund on March 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The session will be held both virtually via Microsoft Teams and in-person at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, Virginia. NTIA Recommends FCC Protect GPS L1 Signal from D2D Device Interference

NTIA has transmitted a formal recommendation letter to the FCC recommending that the Commission seek public comment on new or updated guidance to protect the GPS L1 signal at 1575.42 MHz from interference caused by Mobile Satellite Service providers' Direct-to-Device (D2D) user equipment operating in the 1610-1660.5 MHz frequency band. NTIA further recommends that D2D devices unable to satisfy specified emission limits be rendered incapable of operating on airplanes. The recommendation originates from NTIA's Office of Spectrum Management.
