Patent Application: Downlink Control Channel Communication for Wireless Networks
Summary
The USPTO has published a new patent application, US20260088869A1, detailing a two-stage physical downlink control channel communication method for triggering time-domain channel state information in wireless networks. The application was filed on November 4, 2022.
What changed
This document is a patent application (US20260088869A1) filed with the USPTO, describing a novel method for two-stage physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communications in wireless networks. The invention aims to improve the triggering of time-domain channel state information (TD-CSI) feedback by specifying a process where a user equipment (UE) receives a first PDCCH communication, followed by a second PDCCH communication, which then prompts the UE to transmit TD-CSI feedback.
As this is a patent application, it does not impose direct compliance obligations or deadlines on regulated entities. However, companies involved in wireless network technology, particularly those developing or manufacturing user equipment or network infrastructure, may wish to review this application for potential intellectual property considerations or future technology integration. The filing date was November 4, 2022.

Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication. The UE may receive a second PDCCH communication after receiving the first PDCCH communication. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on receiving the second PDCCH, time-domain channel state information (TD-CSI) feedback for one or more associated CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) occasions. Numerous other aspects are described.
