What changed

The FCC published a Paperwork Reduction Act notice in the Federal Register inviting public comments on a revision to its tariff information collection (OMB Control No. 3060-0298, Part 61, Tariffs). The collection covers tariff filings and supporting documentation used by carriers to demonstrate compliance with the Communications Act's just-and-reasonable rate requirements, as well as detariffing notifications for business data services and Access Stimulation disclosures by IPES providers.

Telecommunications carriers subject to tariff filing requirements and other affected respondents should review the burden estimates and submit comments by June 22, 2026. Respondents may comment on whether the collection is necessary, has practical utility, and whether burden estimates are accurate, and may suggest ways to minimize burden, including through automated collection techniques.
