BATON ROUGE – A Monroe woman faces multiple felony charges for a fraud scheme to steal tens of thousands of dollars in state income tax refunds.
Investigators with the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) say Felicia Ann Jackson (Booking Photo) submitted false tax returns on behalf of nine clients of her tax preparation business.
According to the LDR Criminal Investigations Division, Jackson attempted to steal $35,616 in refunds by submitting fraudulent wage statements, investment reports and business income documents. The nine witnesses in the case told investigators they did not provide any of the falsified documents to Jackson. In some cases, they said they provided her with legitimate documentation, which she omitted from their tax returns.
Jackson was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, on charges of filing false public records, attempted theft over $25,000 and computer fraud. She is the 78 th person arrested under a joint anti-tax fraud initiative of the Louisiana Department of Revenue and the state attorney general’s office.
