NFA Bars Commodity Asset Management LLC, Fines Tulkoff $100K
NFA has ordered Commodity Asset Management LLC, a former NFA Member commodity pool operator and commodity trading advisor in New York, not to reapply for NFA membership or act as a principal of an NFA Member at any time in the future. NFA also ordered associated person and principal Jonathan Mark Tulkoff not to reapply for nine months, pay a $100,000 fine, and comply with an undertaking if he reapplies in the future. The Hearing Panel found Tulkoff committed violations of NFA Compliance Rule 2-29 regarding non-compliant promotional material and NFA Compliance Rule 2-4 regarding standards of commercial honor.
NFA Orders Dorset Fund Management LLC and Michael Dubin to Withdraw
NFA has ordered Dorset Fund Management LLC, an NFA Member commodity pool operator in Greenwich, Connecticut, and Michael Dubin, a principal and associated person of Dorset, to withdraw from and not reapply for NFA membership or principal status. The decision was issued by an NFA Hearing Panel based on a Complaint from NFA's Business Conduct Committee alleging multiple violations including failure to maintain required records, distribute complete account statements, timely file pool reports, report a principal, permit an unregistered AP, cooperate with NFA, and supervise. Both Dorset and Dubin neither admitted nor denied the allegations as part of a settlement offer.
Spartan Asset Group LLC Michigan NFA Membership Withdrawal Ordered
NFA has ordered Spartan Asset Group LLC, a Michigan-based commodity trading advisor and NFA Member, to withdraw from NFA membership and permanently barred from reapplying. The action stems from a Complaint by NFA's Business Conduct Committee alleging the firm used deficient promotional material in violation of NFA Compliance Rule 2-29 and the just and equitable principles requirement under Compliance Rule 2-4. The firm submitted a settlement offer in which it neither admitted nor denied the allegations.
