Tallahassee, Fla. — National Consumer Protection Week (March 1-7) is dedicated to individuals understand their consumer rights and learn how to avoid scams and fraud. The Office of Financial Regulation reminds Floridians of the many resources available to them to help navigate financial decisions and avoid financial fraud.
The OFR provides regulatory oversight for Florida’s financial services industry and works to ensure a safe and secure financial marketplace for Floridians. We are also a valuable resource for consumers. Before banking your money, taking out a loan, using a check casher, or making an investment, be sure you to verify the license or registration of the company or individual with our office.
