Each recipient will direct a grant of $2,500 to $10,000 to a non-profit of their choice. The call for nominations for the 2026 awards is open from April 22, 2026 to June 17, 2026.

Scalable Behavioral Program for Weight Loss Maintenance After GLP-1 and Anti-Obesity Medication Discontinuation

NIH registered clinical trial NCT07535892, a single-site pilot randomized controlled trial using a 2×2×2 factorial design to evaluate a multi-component behavioral intervention for weight loss maintenance following discontinuation of GLP-1 and anti-obesity medications. The trial will enroll participants randomized to a standardized 10-week foundational weight loss maintenance program combined with candidate support components including medically tailored meals, YMCA membership, and a structured mind-based program, with six-month follow-up.

Indiana DOE Announces Free Summer Learning Labs 2026 for Students Grades 1-9

The Indiana Department of Education announced the continuation of the Summer Learning Labs (SLL) program for summer 2026, providing free five-week reading and math instruction to students entering grades one through nine. Approximately 12,000 students will be served across four regional partners: Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor (5,800 students), The Mind Trust/Indy SLL (5,500 students), CAST Southeast SLL (200 students), and Wabash County YMCA (50 students). Programming runs May 26 through July 17, 2026, at various locations statewide.
