Bridge Restoration Project on Route 44 in Lycoming County Starting April 27

PennDOT announced that a bridge restoration project on Route 44 over the West Branch Susquehanna River in Nippenose Township and Jersey Shore Borough, Lycoming County, will begin on April 27, 2026. Spartan Contracting, LLC will serve as the prime contractor for the $3.1 million project, which includes steel repairs and painting. Single lane restrictions with flagging can be expected during daylight hours. The project is anticipated to be completed in fall 2026.
