Lake Lynn Hydroelectric Project No. 2459-279 Section 106 Consultation Meeting Notice

FERC announces a virtual meeting on April 29, 2026, regarding the Lake Lynn Hydroelectric Project No. 2459-279. The meeting, requested by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP), will address concerns about recent project comments and execution of the Programmatic Agreement under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. FERC Combined Filings, Department of Energy, Posted Apr 14

FERC posted a combined notice listing multiple electric rate filings received from various market participants. Filings include Southwest Power Pool compliance filing, PJM Interconnection tariff and service agreement amendments, MISO service agreement, Tri-State Generation and Transmission rate schedule filing, and multiple wind power company MBR tariff compliance filings. Comment deadlines range from April 29-30, 2026.

Natural Gas Pipeline Rate and Refund Report Filings

FERC received natural gas pipeline rate filings including an abbreviated application from Venice Energy Services Company for a Limited Jurisdiction Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity, and a Rate Case Settlement Refund Report from Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company. Comment deadlines are April 20, 2026 and April 21, 2026 respectively.

FERC Sunshine Act Open Meeting Agenda, April 16, 2026

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission published a Sunshine Act meeting notice for an open meeting on April 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 888 First Street NE, Washington, DC. The agenda includes administrative matters, electric proceedings involving PJM Interconnection, Pacific Gas and Electric, and other utilities, gas pipeline rate matters, hydroelectric licensing, and pipeline certificate proceedings.

WBI Energy Line Section 32 Expansion Project Application Notice

FERC issued a notice that WBI Energy Transmission filed an application under Section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act for the Line Section 32 Expansion Project. The project involves approximately 17 miles of new 24-inch pipeline lateral in Williams and McKenzie Counties, North Dakota, to provide 190,000 dekatherms per day of incremental firm transportation service to a new electric generation facility. WBI estimates total project cost at $68,087,052. FERC staff will complete environmental review within 90 days of this notice.

Exempt Wholesale Generator and Foreign Utility Company Status Approvals

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a notice that Exempt Wholesale Generator and Foreign Utility Company status for 37 energy companies became effective during March 2026. The approvals span solar energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and power generation facilities, with docket numbers ranging from EG26-121-000 through EG26-146-000 for domestic entities and FC26-1-000 through FC26-8-000 for foreign utility companies. Status became effective by operation of Commission regulations under 18 CFR 366.7(a).

Texas Eastern Transmission Requests Authorization to Decommission Offshore Pipeline Segment

FERC has published a notice that Texas Eastern Transmission, LP filed a prior notice request seeking authorization to decommission and abandon in place 13.45 miles of its 24-inch-diameter lateral Line 40-B-4-D segment 9888 located in federal waters in the Gulf of America near Louisiana. The estimated cost of the Offshore Abandonment Project is $39,600,000. The Commission is soliciting protests, motions to intervene, and comments from interested parties by June 9, 2026.

Environmental Assessment for Ameren-EMRT Big Hollow Natural Gas Pipeline Project

FERC staff has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Ameren-EMRT Big Hollow Project proposed by Enable Mississippi River Transmission, LLC. EMRT seeks authorization to construct a 9.6-mile, 20-inch diameter lateral natural gas pipeline and appurtenant facilities crossing Monroe County, Illinois to Jefferson County, Missouri to serve Ameren's Big Hollow Energy Center with approximately 200,000 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day. The EA concludes that approval would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting environmental quality.

Combined Notice of Filings #1 - Accounting, Corporate, and Rate Filings

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission published a combined notice of filings received between April 8-10, 2026. The notice covers accounting requests, electric corporate filings, and electric rate filings from various energy companies including Jersey Central Power & Light Company, Tonopah Solar Energy LLC, and multiple wind and solar generation entities. Comment deadlines range from April 17 to May 1, 2026.

PSC Dismisses Adrian Davis Complaint Against Kentucky Utilities Company

The Kentucky Public Service Commission dismissed Case No. 2025-00361 filed by Mr. Adrian Davis against Kentucky Utilities Company. The Commission found that Mr. Davis failed to establish a prima facie case, having not stated with sufficient certainty the alleged discrepancies in billing, financial retaliation, or intimidation. KU had previously advised Mr. Davis that documentation confirmed his bill was correct. The complaint is dismissed without further relief.
