Fuels Decision Division Restructured
The Bundeskartellamt has restructured its fuels decision division, creating the 13th Decision Division dedicated to mineral oil and fuel sector enforcement. The new division consolidates three project teams: the Market Transparency Unit for Fuels (monitoring ~15,000 petrol stations), proceedings under Section 32f GWB for wholesale competition, and proceedings under new Section 29a GWB for cost-based pricing. Andreas Mundt stated the office is ready to enforce the new fuel price package legislation that took effect April 2, 2026.
Nexans and Sonepar Fined for Colluding on Exclusive Import Rights in French Overseas Territories
The Autorité de la concurrence fined Nexans group companies €3 million and Sonepar group companies €3.5 million (total €6.5 million) for colluding on exclusive import rights for Nexans electrical cables across French overseas departments (Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte) from May 2015 to November 2023. The settlement marks the first enforcement action under France's whistleblower framework.

The reforms introduce a 'deemed authority' mechanism allowing ACNC-registered charities to automatically fundraise in NSW without separate state authority, while removing duplicative NSW-specific reporting and record-keeping requirements. The 16 National Fundraising Principles are now prescribed conditions for all NSW authority holders.
