Capital Region DRI and NY Forward Award Winners Announced
Governor Hochul announced that the City of Rensselaer will receive $10 million as the Capital Region winner of Round 9 of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, while the City of Watervliet and Village of Scotia will each receive $4.5 million as Capital Region winners of Round 4 of the NY Forward program. Combined DRI and NY Forward Round 9/4 provides $200 million in statewide investment. Localities must be certified under the Pro-Housing Communities Program to receive funding.
Governor Hochul Announces Central New York Winners of Downtown Revitalization Initiative and NY Forward Program
Governor Hochul announced the Central New York winners of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and NY Forward Program. The Village of Cazenovia receives $10 million as the Round 9 DRI winner for Central New York. Villages of Marcellus and Mexico each receive $4.5 million as Round 4 NY Forward winners. Total state commitment is $200 million across 10 economic development regions, with cumulative DRI and NY Forward investments reaching $1.4 billion.
North Country Wins $10M DRI Funding; $4.5M Each to Moriah and Heuvelton
The New York Department of State announced the North Country winners of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and NY Forward program. The City of Ogdensburg received $10 million in DRI Round 9 funding, while the Town of Moriah and Village of Heuvelton each received $4.5 million in NY Forward Round 4 funding, totaling $19 million for the region. Recipients must be certified under Governor Hochul's Pro-Housing Communities Program to access these funds, which support housing creation, small business development, and downtown revitalization.
Hochul Announces $100M for Climate Resiliency Projects Through Environmental Bond Act
Governor Hochul announced nearly $100 million in new grant funding for climate resiliency projects through the $4.2 billion Environmental Bond Act of 2022. The Resilient Watersheds Grant Program offers $60 million and the Community Resilience and Flood Risk Reduction Grants Program offers $40 million. Eligible municipalities and nonprofit organizations may apply through the Consolidated Funding Application portal by 4 p.m. on June 26, 2026.

Governor Hochul announced that the City of Rome will receive $10 million as the Mohawk Valley winner of Round 9 of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The City of Utica and Village of Morris will each receive $4.5 million as Mohawk Valley winners of Round 4 of the NY Forward Program. The total state commitment across all 10 economic development regions is $200 million for DRI and NY Forward Round 9/4.
