What changed
DOL has submitted for OMB review under the Paperwork Reduction Act an information collection request to renew the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program forms for three years. The ICR covers seven ETA forms used for self-attestation, certification workload reporting, individual characteristics documentation, conditional certification, employer certification, and agency verification. OMB Control Number 1205-0371 is affected.
State, local, and tribal government agencies that administer the WOTC program will be the primary respondents, with an estimated 53 respondents handling approximately 18.6 million responses annually. The estimated annual time burden is 10.2 million hours. Employers claiming the tax credit rely on certifications processed by these government agencies. Affected parties may submit comments on the necessity of the collection, accuracy of burden estimates, and ways to minimize administrative burden.
