Oral Argument Docket, June 9, Four Case Parties

The Tennessee Workers' Compensation Appeals Board has scheduled an oral argument session for June 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM CDT in the Tennessee Supreme Court Building, Nashville. Four workers' compensation appeals have been docketed: Howell v. 501K Recycling LLC (Docket No. 2024-70-6705, Jackson), Hands v. Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. (Docket No. 2020-08-0199, Memphis), Antunez v. MG Dyess Inc. (Docket No. 2025-80-2021, Memphis), and Express Employment Professionals v. Harris (Docket No. 025-60-7980, Nashville).

Scam Alert: Impersonators Targeting Tennessee Workers' Compensation Claimants

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation issued a scam alert on February 24, 2026, warning workers that impersonators are contacting claimants via phone, email, text, and video call, falsely claiming to represent the Court of Workers' Compensation Claims and demanding payment to receive benefits or settle claims. The Bureau clarifies it will never request payment through gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency, and that employers—not the state—pay workers' compensation benefits. Claimants are advised to verify all communications through official tn.gov contact information before sending money or personal information.
