Get Covered Illinois 2026 Open Enrollment Support Campaign Launches

Get Covered Illinois launched its 2026 open enrollment period on November 1, running through January 15, 2026, accompanied by an expanded "Here to Help" support campaign as Illinois transitions to its own state-based marketplace. Nearly 466,000 Illinoisans enrolled during last year's open enrollment, representing a 17% increase from the prior year, and this year they will apply and enroll directly on GetCoveredIllinois.gov. Illinois enrollees face an average 78% premium increase for 2026, compounded by the expiration of enhanced federal tax credits at year-end unless Congress acts, while DACA recipients and certain lawfully present non-citizens have lost eligibility for marketplace coverage or premium tax credits under new federal rules.
