Security Minister Statement on Antisemitic Attacks

Security Minister Dan Jarvis delivered an oral statement to the House of Commons responding to antisemitic attacks including arson attacks on synagogues in Finchley, Hendon, and Harrow. Counter Terrorism Policing have made 15 arrests in connection with the incidents. The government announced £5 million additional funding for specialist officers under Project Servator and £7 million to tackle antisemitism in schools, colleges and universities. Lord Macdonald will review public order laws and an amendment to existing powers will allow police to consider cumulative effect of repeat protests.
