Summary

The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary actions against several health care providers in March 2026. Actions include charges of unprofessional conduct, denial of applications, and termination of probation, impacting providers across various counties.

What changed

The Washington State Department of Health has issued disciplinary actions against multiple health care providers in March 2026. These actions include charges of unprofessional conduct for alleged medication errors, failure to address pregnancy risk factors leading to fetal death, improper prescription practices, and violations of protection orders. Additionally, one provider's application for a credential was denied due to alleged financial exploitation of a client, and another's probation was terminated.

These actions highlight the department's ongoing oversight of health care professionals. Providers facing charges are subject to potential license suspension, revocation, or other sanctions. The department encourages consumers to report unprofessional conduct and provides a lookup tool for license status and disciplinary history. The information serves as a reminder for all licensed professionals to adhere strictly to professional standards and legal requirements to avoid disciplinary measures.

What to do next

  1. Review disciplinary actions for any named providers within your organization.
  2. Ensure all licensed staff are aware of the professional conduct standards outlined by the WA DOH.
  3. Report any suspected unprofessional conduct to the Health Systems Customer Service.
