Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for a removeable and replaceable gasket and attached patty or sponge for a surgical (or dental) suction cannula which facilitates the safe and effective removal of blood and other bodily fluids from a body cavity while allowing manipulation and/or management of the sponge and/or various tissues therein.
