I, VICTOR JIMINEZ BONUEL, M.D., hereby knowingly, freely, and voluntarily surrender any authprity under my Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate, ACSC number ACSC.3 8778, to order, manufacture, distribute, possess, dispense, administer or prescribe Schedule II, IIN, Ill, IIIN, IV and/or V controlled substances. I acknowledge that this action is taken by me while under investigation by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners relating to my prescribing of controlled substances. I understand and acknowledge I will have no authority to order, dispense, distribute, administer, or prescribe controlled substances in the state of Alabama. I further understand and acknowledge that this surrender shall be effective immediately upon execution. I acknowledge that I sign this document willingly and that I execute it as my free and voluntaiy act for the purposes herein expressed, and that I am of sound mind and under no constraint or undue influence. I understand that I have a right to a hearing in th.is matter, and I hereby freely, knowingly, and voluntarily waive such right to a hearing. I also understand that the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners shall have-access to any investigative file in this matter should I request reinstatement of my ACSC, ~d that the Board has the right to contest my reinstatement. Pursuant to the authority of Ala. Code § 20-2-55, the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners ("the Board") hereby finds that there is an imminent danger to the public health and safety, and it is the ORDER of the Board that the Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate of VICTOR JIMENEZ BONUEL, M.D., ACSC.38778, be, and the same is hereby, immediately suspended. Dr. Bonuel is hereby ORDERED and DIRECTED to surrender ACSC.38778 and all controlled substances of which he has possession to Bob Steelman, a duly authorized agent of the Board. Dr. Bonuel is hereby ORDERED to cease and desist from ordering, prescribing, distributing, or dispensing controlled substances until such time as a hearing shall be held by the Board and a decision rendered thereon. This Order shall issue simultaneously with an Order to Show Cause setting forth the allegations and scheduling a hearing. Ordered this the 13th day of November, 2023.
