About this source
USPTO classification A61M covers devices that introduce or withdraw fluids from the body: infusion pumps, catheters, syringes, inhalers, wound drainage, dialysis equipment, and fluid-handling microfluidics. Every newly published application in A61M lands in this feed, around 205 a month. Applications publish 18 months after filing. Watch this if you compete in infusion therapy or drug delivery, file freedom-to-operate analyses for medical device startups, scout acquisition targets in cardiovascular or respiratory devices, or track hospital R&D arms that are quietly patenting clinical innovations.
What changed
The USPTO published patent application US20260108379A1 for a tongue training device incorporating an elastic body with a tongue inlet and accommodating space, a displacement sensor to detect movement, and a wireless communicator to relay signals to external devices. The application is classified under CPC codes A61F 5/566 and A61M 16/0009.
Manufacturers or developers of oral rehabilitation or sleep-apnea therapeutic devices should review this filing to assess potential competitive overlap or licensing opportunities, particularly given the wireless sensor integration described. Competitors in the medical device space should monitor for related filings from the same inventors.

Abstract
The present invention provides a tongue training device, which includes an elastic body, a displacement sensor and a wireless communicator. Wherein, the elastic body has a tongue inlet and an accommodating space in communication with the tongue inlet, so as to accommodate a part or a whole of the tongue of the user in the accommodating space. The displacement sensor is disposed on the elastic body to sense the displacement distance and the displacement direction of the elastic body, and generate the corresponding displacement distance signal and displacement direction signal. And, the wireless communicator is disposed on the elastic body, connects the displacement sensor and the external device, and transmits the displacement distance signal and the displacement direction signal to the external device, so as to operate the external device according to the displacement distance signal and the displacement direction signal.
