Board Office Closure - COVID-19 Impact
July 20, 2021
Due to COVID-19 illness, the Board office staff has been significantly impacted, to the extent it has affected our ability to perform our critical mission activities. The following changes have been approved by the Board leadership and are effective immediately:
- The Board office is closed to visitors until further notice. Licensees and applicants visiting the office are invited to deposit their hard copy materials in the mail slot near the front door to the office. Other options include mail service as well as our general email account at info@pharmacy.la.gov.
- The Board office telephone system has been placed on auto-attendant. There are no options to leave voicemail messages; instead, callers are invited to send their inquiries to our general email account at info@pharmacy.la.gov. We are in peak season for the licensing of new pharmacists and renewing CDS licenses. We are prioritizing those credentials and we are working through all other licensing activities as best we can. We appreciate your patience and understanding. As soon as we have sufficient staffing levels, we will revert to our usual operating procedures.
