What changed

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation posted a consumer-facing informational page describing the complaint filing process for regulated professions and unlicensed activity. The page does not create new obligations but informs potential complainants of available administrative disciplinary actions that DBPR may impose, including reprimand, fine, restriction of practice, remedial education, administrative costs, probation, license suspension, or license revocation.

Licensed professionals and businesses regulated by DBPR—including healthcare providers such as chiropractic physicians—are subject to these administrative complaint processes. Individuals wishing to file complaints may do so online or by mail for most professions. The page also references Florida public records law and criminal penalties under Section 837.06, Florida Statutes, for knowingly making false statements to the department.
