What changed

Public Law 119-84 amends Section 403(b) of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 by replacing the phrase 'effective two years after' with a specific sunset date of April 30, 2026 for Title VII authorities. Section 404(b) transition procedure references are similarly updated to cite the codified FISA title (50 U.S.C. 1881 et seq.) rather than listing prior reauthorization acts. Intelligence community entities and telecommunications providers subject to FISA surveillance obligations should note the extended operational window through April 30, 2026, before any further reauthorization action is required.
