FEMA Approves More Than $285 Million to Support Recovery in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee
FEMA announced $285 million in funding to support disaster recovery across five Region 4 states through Public Assistance projects. FEMA has awarded $6 million to the city of Sheboygan, Wisconsin as the final installment of a $7.8 million total grant for flood mitigation along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The project includes construction of a retaining wall, improvements to protect wastewater infrastructure, and measures to prevent treatment plant shutdowns during severe storms and flooding.
