TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the rearrest of Devon Huart, 20, of Leesburg, on 11 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and sentencing of Michael Ambrosio, 52, of New Port Richey, on 15 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count of Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Promote.

“Time and again, our office is prosecuting child predators who use social media platforms to share disgusting content and groom children,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Protecting kids is my number one priority, and today’s takedown of two more predators makes a record 1400 in a year. They’ll face long sentences behind bars or the death penalty where eligible.”

“FDLE remains committed to protecting our children, families and communities and will continue to work alongside our partners to make sure these types of dangerous criminals are put away and pay for their crimes,” said FDLE Assistant Commissioner Mike Williams. “Our agents work hard to remove these criminals who commit such heinous acts and target our children. You can rest assured that we will find them and bring them to justice.”

Since Attorney General Uthmeier’s appointment in February 2025, the Office of Statewide Prosecution has been associated with the takedown of over 1,400 child predators and participated in over 1,500 child exploitation investigations.

Devon Huart
This investigation was launched on January 23, 2026, following a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip that Devon Huart was sharing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM). The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) executed a search warrant at Huart’s residence on January 30, 2026. Huart was arrested for one count of Possession of Child Pornography, but later posted bond.

Huart initially denied possessing CSAM. However, during his post-Miranda interview, he admitted to possessing the materials. Investigators subsequently found ten additional files of CSAM, leading to Huart's rearrest for ten additional charges of Possession of Child Pornography.

Additionally, investigators discovered concerning communications on Huart’s TikTok account, which is currently under investigation, and additional charges may be filed as they review the evidence.

Huart is currently in custody at the Lake County jail, held on a $100,000 bond. If convicted, Huart faces up to 165 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.

This case will be prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Michael Ambrosio
On October 18, 2023, Michael Ambrosio’s IP address was identified during an undercover internet operation conducted by FDLE targeting persons using Peer-to-Peer software to traffic/distribute CSAM.

A search warrant was executed by FDLE at Ambrosio’s New Port Richey residence on January 17, 2024, and Ambrosio was arrested on the scene.

Investigators located 15 files of extremely graphic materials, including images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of very young children. The CSAM was being stored on Ambrosio’s desktop computer.

On February 13, 2026, Ambrosio made an open plea to the court on all 16 charges and was sentenced to 25 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.

This case was prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
