$15.3M GO Virginia Grants to Create 600 Jobs, Train 6,000

Governor Abigail Spanberger announced over $15.3 million in Growth and Opportunity for Virginia (GO Virginia) grants to support workforce development, advanced manufacturing, unmanned systems, life sciences, and site development across the Commonwealth. The grants leverage $9.5 million in local, private, and institutional investments and are projected to create more than 600 new jobs and train more than 6,000 Virginians for positions in high-demand industries.

Governor Spanberger Launches Regional Readiness Summits in Abingdon

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger launched the inaugural Regional Readiness Summit in Abingdon, convening more than 100 senior public safety leaders including law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, hospitals, and emergency management professionals. The summit is part of the Governor's Unified Readiness Framework implementing Executive Order 12 to strengthen interagency coordination for crisis response. Additional summits will be held across the Commonwealth in coming months.
