Colorado SB26-018 passed the House on April 1, 2026, establishing legal protections for minors' dignity by allowing suppression of court records associated with name changes. The bill passed the Senate 20-11 on February 24 and the House after extensive committee review and multiple amendments including L.001, L.002, L.003, L.005, S.001, and h.001-h.003. Eighteen amendments were introduced during the legislative process.
