NEWS RELEASE | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Jan. 29, 2026 Produced water spill reported in Renville County BISMARCK, N.D. – Cobra Oil and Gas Corporation has notified the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) of a produced water spill from a valve failure in Renville County. The incident occurred on Jan. 28 approximately 11 miles northwest of Mohall and impacted the surrounding agricultural land. Cobra Oil and Gas Corporation reported approximately 175 barrels (7,350 gallons) of Produced water were released. Personnel from the NDDEQ are working with the company and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation.
