NEWS RELEASE | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | January 26, 2026 Produced water spill reported in Renville County BISMARCK, N.D. – Cobra Oil and Gas Corporation has notified the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) of a produced water spill from a tank failure in Renville County. The incident occurred on January 25th approximately 2 miles northeast of Glenburn and impacted the surrounding prairie. Cobra Oil and Gas Corporation reported approximately 250 barrels (10,500 gallons) of Produced water were released from a tank. Personnel from the NDDEQ have inspected the site and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation. Federal and state laws require that operators report the spillage of any materials that may pollute water, air or soil.
