23 de abril del 2026 El nuevo director ejecutivo del Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional (CEN), Ramón Castañeda, realizó una visita institucional a la Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE), en el marco de las primeras actividades públicas tras asumir el cargo.
Durante la instancia, a la que fue acompañado por el presidente del Consejo Directivo del CEN, Juan Carlos Olmedo, y por la vicepresidenta del organismo, Bernardita Espinoza, Castañeda sostuvo una reunión protocolar con autoridades y equipos técnicos de la CNE, encabezada por el secretario ejecutivo (s) Mauricio Funes, ocasión en la que se abordaron temas generales vinculados al funcionamiento del sistema eléctrico, los desafíos de la coordinación operativa y regulatoria, y el contexto actual del sector energético.
