LIHEAP Heating Assistance Applications Due April 30
The Iowa Utilities Commission announced that low-income Iowans have until April 30, 2026 to apply for heating bill assistance through the LIHEAP program. The annual winter moratorium on utility disconnections has ended, and the notice details disconnection notice requirements including 12-day advance written notice, landlord notification rules, and customer rights under Iowa Administrative Code provisions 199 IAC 19.4(15), 20.4(15), and 27.4(2).

National Safe Digging Month promotes calling 811
