Idaho PUC Accepts Comments on Water Utility Application

NEWS RELEASE: Commission is accepting written comments on water utility’s application seeking certificate of public convenience and necessity.

BOISE (March 24, 2026) – The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is accepting written comments until late April on an application submitted by Southshore 2 Water Company, LLC to receive a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN). If the CPCN is granted by the Commission, it would allow Southshore 2 Water to operate as a public utility in Idaho.

The utility owns and operates a water system in Nampa, and serves 15 residential customers in the Southshore Subdivision No. 2.

The Commission is accepting written comments on the utility’s application until Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Comments are required to be submitted through the Commission’s website or by e - mail unless computer access is not available. To submit comments through the website, visit puc.idaho.gov and click on the “Case Comment Form” link on the upper left side of the page. Please use case number SSW-W-26-01 when filling out the form. Comments submitted through e-mail should be sent to the e-mail addresses listed below. Commenters are required to include their name, address and case number SSW-W-26-01. If computer access is not available, comments can be mailed to the Commission and Southshore 2 Water at the addresses listed below. Commenters are required to include their name, address and case number SSW-W-26-01 in correspondence.
