State Board Community Colleges Meet April 17

2026 Awards Celebrate NC Community College Excellence

The NC Community College System, the State Board of Community Colleges, and the NC Community Colleges Foundation co-hosted the ninth annual awards dinner at The Angus Barn Pavilion in Raleigh on April 20, 2026, honoring nine recipients across signature awards, faculty/staff awards, and workforce development pinnacle awards. Recipients include Dallas Herring Achievement Award winner Cheri Landreth of Surry Community College and I.E. Ready Lifetime Achievement Award honoree Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Automotive Group, with workforce Pinnacle Awards recognizing employer partnerships across 58 North Carolina community colleges.

Presidential Search Committee Meeting, April 17

The North Carolina Community College System announces a Presidential Search Committee meeting scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the N.C. Community College System Office in the A.W. Conference Room, 200 W Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, and livestreamed on the N.C. Community College System Office YouTube channel. The meeting is open to the public, though some portions may be conducted in closed session pursuant to state law.
