What changed
The Department of Education proposes a revision to its currently approved information collection for the Survey of Postgraduate Employment for the FLAS Fellowship Program. The revision updates the estimated annual responses from the prior approved collection to 10,000 and adjusts total estimated annual burden hours to 1,300. Minor edits were made to remove outdated links and update contact information.
Institutions of higher education and consortia that administer FLAS fellowships should monitor for the final revised survey instrument and updated burden estimates. The revised collection does not impose new substantive requirements on respondents beyond the existing survey obligation under 20 U.S.C. 1121(d). Grantees who administer the biennial survey should note the updated contact information and ensure their survey administration processes align with the revised ICR once approved.
