What changed

The CNPD has published a notice announcing its participation in the Privacy Symposium in Venice from April 20–24, 2026. The CNPD holds patronage of the symposium and its staff will moderate and speak across multiple sessions on topics including regulatory innovation, GDPR certification, cross-border enforcement, financial compliance risk, cybersecurity, and AI governance. Two exhibition booths will focus on regulatory compliance tools and GDPR certification.

Affected parties include data protection professionals, compliance practitioners, and organisations engaged with cross-border data governance. While this is an informational announcement rather than a binding regulatory action, it signals the CNPD's current priorities and international engagement focus in digital governance, certification, and emerging cyber threats.
