What changed

The Office of Information Security (OIS) has published guidance detailing the process for California government entities to access AgencyNet, a SharePoint-based platform for sharing sensitive cybersecurity resources including Cal-CSIRS designee information. Access requests must be submitted through ServiceNow with specific roles designated to request access on behalf of their entity. Upon approval, requestors receive read-only permissions to the platform.

California government entities and their designated information security personnel should follow the published ServiceNow workflow to obtain AgencyNet access. The guidance also covers MFA password reset procedures for users requiring token resets. This primarily affects state agency information security staff, privacy program coordinators, and technology recovery personnel seeking access to OIS security resources.
