La Titular de la Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP) y Presidente del Comité del Convenio 108, Beatriz Anchorena, encabezó la 65°reunión del Bureau del Comité de Protección de Datos del Consejo de Europa, realizada los días 18 y 19 de marzo.
Durante el encuentro, se repasó el estado de firmas y ratificaciones del Convenio 108+, único instrumento multilateral jurídicamente vinculante en materia de protección de datos personales, que cuenta actualmente con 33 ratificaciones y requiere 5 adicionales para su entrada en vigor.
Además, se trabajó en un Plan de Acción para la promoción de las Cláusulas Contractuales Modelo del CoE, en base al Programa de Trabajo 2026-2029, aprobado en la 49° reunión plenaria del Comité. En ese marco, se elaboró un cuestionario para relevar el estado de situación y pasos a seguir en la implementación de las cláusulas para el flujo seguro de datos personales y se trabajó sobre el mapeo de posibles bases legales para las transferencias de datos personales en el marco del Convenio 108+.
Por otra parte, se avanzó en la elaboración de las directrices en protección de datos en el uso de modelos de lenguaje de gran escala y en el campo de las neurociencias.
De la reunión, participaron como observadores EDPS, EDPB, la Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales de Ecuador, que compartió las últimas novedades normativas y reiteró su compromiso en adherirse al Convenio 108+ una vez que entre en vigor; la Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos de Brasil, que compartió novedades sobre el proceso de evaluación del grado de adecuación de su marco normativo al Convenio 108+, e Interpol, que expuso sobre su interés en profundizar la cooperación con el Comité.
