Thompson v. D4C Dental Brands Inc. - Employment Discrimination Dismissal

Kayla Thompson's employment discrimination case against D4C Dental Brands, Inc. was dismissed without prejudice by a US District Judge in the Southern District of Florida on April 3, 2026. Boulos v. US DHS ICE - Immigration Habeas Reconsideration, Detention at Krome

Pierre Reginald Boulos, a 69-year-old U.S.-born citizen detained by ICE at the Krome Service Processing Center, filed a motion for reconsideration of the Court's December 12, 2025 Order denying his expedited TRO and preliminary injunction challenging mandatory detention under 8 C.F.R. § 1003.19(h)(2)(i)(C). The Court granted reconsideration in part and denied it in part, maintaining its prior ruling that the regulation does not mandate detention but rather constrains the immigration judge's review of the agency's detention decision under the Foreign Policy Ground of INA § 237(a)(4)(C).
