Fuller v. Meehan: Summary Judgment Granted in Part and Denied in Part

In adversary proceeding No. 25-01021, the US Bankruptcy Court NDOH granted in part and denied in part Plaintiffs' Motion for Summary Judgment filed January 26, 2026. The Court held that debt arising from Defendant Michael P. Attorney Fees Reduced for Chapter 7 Trustee

The US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio reduced attorney fees sought by counsel for the Chapter 7 Trustee in Teresa Nadeau's Chapter 13 case. The court allowed $16,540 for non-appellate work as a compensable administrative claim but denied $11,880 for appeal work, finding the appeal was dismissed because the underlying order lacked finality and counsel failed to follow interlocutory appeal procedures under Fed. R. Bankr. P. 8004(a).

In Re: SFR ATL Owner 1 LP - Involuntary Bankruptcy, Forma Pauperis Appeal Denied

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio denied Appellant Nzinga Begum's motion to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis under 28 U.S.C. § 1915(a), certifying that the appeal is not taken in good faith. The court found no non-frivolous issues for Begum to appeal following the dismissal of the involuntary bankruptcy petition on March 20, 2026. This order follows twelve additional filings by Begum after the initial dismissal and notes overlapping litigation in Georgia involving similar facially deficient involuntary bankruptcy attempts.
