Venus Capital Recognition, Chapter 15 Mauritius BVI

The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island granted recognition of five Chapter 15 petitions filed by entities from Mauritius and the British Virgin Islands. Venus Capital Management Company and related Mauritius entities (Venus India Structured Finance Master Limited, Venus Master Fund) plus Venus Global Macro Fund, Ltd. and Venus India Structured Finance (Offshore) Fund Limited from the BVI received recognition of their foreign main proceedings. The court held a Recognition Hearing on October 9, 2025, and concluded that the Foreign Representatives satisfied all requirements of 11 U.S.C. §§ 1517 and 1515, granting additional relief pursuant to § 1521.

Venus Capital Chapter 15 Recognition Mauritius BVI

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island granted recognition of five Chapter 15 petitions filed by Venus Capital Management Company, Venus India Structured Finance Master Limited, Venus Master Fund, Venus Global Macro Fund Ltd., and Venus India Structured Finance (Offshore) Fund Limited, involving foreign insolvency proceedings commenced in Mauritius and the British Virgin Islands. Gamache v. Smith - Party Substitution and Permissive Abstention

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island granted Plaintiff Debra Smith's Motion to Substitute, allowing Ms. Latonya Marzett to be substituted as the real party in interest in this Chapter 7 adversary proceeding.
