Gregory Brian Myers Bad Faith Vexatious Litigant Order
The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia entered a memorandum opinion and order finding Gregory Brian Myers filed his Chapter 13 case in bad faith and designating him a vexatious litigant. The Court imposed a ten-year bar to refiling in any bankruptcy court and ordered that neither the Debtor nor any related entity may file further matters or removals in the District of Columbia Bankruptcy or District Courts absent enumerated circumstances. The Debtor initiated this case on February 26, 2025, just 37 days after expiration of a prior two-year refiling bar issued by the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court.
Lessard Design Inc. v. Paul - Partial Dismissal of Adversary Proceeding
The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia granted in part and denied in part the debtor Allison Paul's Motion to Dismiss in adversary proceeding 24-10008, dismissing Counts II, III, IV, and V with leave to amend as to Counts III, IV, and V, while denying dismissal of Counts I and VI. The underlying dispute arises from the debtor's prepetition resignation from Lessard Design, Inc. in January 2023 and subsequent employment with Bassenian Lagoni, with the plaintiff alleging misappropriation of proprietary information during the job transition. The court has subject-matter jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. §§ 157 and 1334 as a core proceeding.
